This fuel shut-off valve is worth twice what it is being sold for. The lower priced units you see all over made out of plastic and with red twisty on/off knobs are pure garbage. I used this fuel valve on a generator to replace a cheap Chinese piece of junk valve that started leaking. This valve worked fine with some adaptation. If the stem was an 1/8 longer, it would have been the perfect replacement, but Im using it in a non standard application.

Although I do have a pilots licence, I just needed a fuel valve for my lawn tractor and couldnt find anything that shipped from Canada that I could mount properly. This valve did the trick and is now installed and looks great.

Just what I ordered, and delivered in reasonable time. Much speedier delivery than several years ago. A. S. has apparently been working on this. The only reason I did not give this valve a 5 star is because the previous one I had started leaking......after 12 years......maybe that is a good sign of durability? Not sure....

This is a good quality non-rebuildable 1/4 fuel shutoff valve. Its easy to mount by drilling just one hole, inserting the valve, nut and washer, then tightening the hardware. The cast-on hose barbs are aluminum and wont break off like plastic ones -- or leak either. The lever is made from a 1/8 roll pin and the valves easy to rotate. The reason I didnt give a 5 star rating is because the threaded portion is completely round and allows for valve rotation in the hole (and the resulting nut loosening) when opening/closing the valve. A flat spot on the threaded area would stop this. Sure wish ACS would carry one with a handle made for remote installation!

This item is just ok plated steel not made from brass or stainless steel
