14V / 28V, replaces Ford, Electrodelta, Prestolite, Interav, Wico, FVR, and more voltage regulators. (Refer to Model Eligibility for your more information and additional models)
The Plane Power R1224 Voltage Regulator is a solid-state voltage regulator with over-voltage protection, field short (over current) protection, and reverse battery protection. The Plane Power R1224 Voltage Regulator also supports precision load sharing for twin applications, and an alternator inoperative lamp.
NOTE: The R1224 voltage regulator is designed to be setup in the field for 14 or 28 volt operation by configuring the two jumpers within the voltage regulator.
Some applications require accessory part number 07-03532. See Application Guide for requirements.
Excellent and easy to install...thanks Spruce
Ship fast and priced well.
Have Lyc-320 engine overhauled my A&P Has replaced several of the factory alternators with the plane power alternator and regulator and said they worked out great I’ll be another month before mines done
Solved my voltage problem!
Used to replace my old InterAv regulator. Was more work than just replacing the regulator (some re-wiring) but works great.
Installed it, it works.
I had been chasing alternator problems, it would come online then off again. My C172 (1965 F) had standard Cessna voltage reg and Electrodelta over voltage sensor. Narrowed it down to faulty Over voltage sensor. Cost to replace about same as plane power R1224-14v. Easy decision for me. Get rid of separate device and upgrade newer technology to all in one. Tech support was extremely knowledgeable on pre-purchase questions. Install was a breeze. Everything changed out and adjusted in less than 30 minutes, and no more alternator problems problems. I even got back my over/under voltage warning indicator that someone had disconnected who knows when? Even if it goes out in 3-5 years as some say, $190 bucks is a cheep throwaway, and I’ll be glad to get a new one.
Easy to hook up and works right out of the box , replaced a Over Votage relay and regulater at the same time that is no longer avalible , saves room for being small in size
Quality part, much better than original STC unit. Adjustable voltage, set at lowest voltage from factory, had to adjust to get proper voltage. Excellent paperwork included.
Per the supplier: No, these units are not equipped with noise reduction.
Yes, per the Fit Guide PDF in the "Application Guide" tab of the web page, part number R1224 (our part number 07-01305) will replace InterAv 625-61623. However, we recommend that you verify your aircraft application using the fit guide to confirm it is the correct replacement.
No, the 12-1021 adapter plate is not included but can be purchased separately.
The only difference between the two products is the mounting base. Both would be appropriate for an E-AB aircraft along with the Plane Power C14-100 alternator.
Yes, this will come with the connectors.
All warranty issues / requests on this regulator must be handled direct with Plane Power:
New: 36mo/1000 operating hours whichever comes first
Overhauled: 6 months / 250 operating hours whichever comes first
No, wire connectors are not included.
These use #8 terminals.
Yes, these are FAA PMA approved.
