I bought the smaller of the two and it’s the perfect size. I have a Jabiru 3300 120hp engine and used .32 size safety wire. If you have never used this type of pliers. Simply crimp the two ends of the wire and pull on the center knob. This will spin the pliers and twist the wire.

I like the small 6 size. They fit better within the cowling. You would not use them daily for a whole engine, but for one off items, they are excellent.

It was my first time using this and am I ever glad I purchased it with so many uses on different applications.

For the price, these seem surprisingly well-made - certainly worth the 20 bucks. Time will tell I guess, but I can buy 4 of these for what one of the high-end ones cost, so even if i were to wear out the first 3, theyd probably still last my lifetime. A heavy user might feel differently, but so far so good for this shade-tree mechanic.

I love safety wiring now due to these pliers. They work very well. The wire never slips out of the vise jaws and the cutter is good enough to snip the wire when you need too. Sometimes they are a little bulky for my needs. I bought the 9 version and would like to try the smaller pair inside the tightly packed engine compartment of my RV-7. Oh, and the spring loaded twisting function is worth every penny. A great addition to the tool box for sure.

We've got a couple of these in our shop. They've held up for several years and counting even though they are priced at a fraction of what some of the other brands are selling for. Great value!

Twisters work well and do a neat job. However, clamping the twisters over the wire ends prior to twisting demands a lot of strength.

I have not used it yet but it looks good, appears to function correctly. The jaws shut together nicely with no gaps and the twisting lock catches and uncatches smoothly.

Well made and work very well. I originally bought a similar product from an import chain. They were worthless and required two hands to close with wire in the jaws. I bought the smaller size and they are perfect for owner maintenance. Not perfect but almost as good as the expensive ones.

Good quality and just what I needed. The only drawback is the 6 version will not cut very well. Easily cut a single .032 wire but a double twisted strand is way over their ability. I use another cutter.

I believe the pliers to be of good quality, my only issue is that the picture and the description refer to a 9 and a 6 set of two (2) pliers but only the 9was received

This review is for the small set of pliers - I have the bigger ones also and they work fine. The wire cutters on the small one I got do not really work that well - I finally fingure out that the wire has to be almost exactly 90 degrees to the cutters to work - small ones dont cut the wire well at all. Like I said I have a pair of the bigger ones and they work OK..

Very hard to squeeze hard enough to get it to lock.

I bought a 6” one and after just a few times of use, it got broken and can not lock anymore. The lock mechanism is too weak.
