Top of the line components used for mission-critical upfit equipment for police, fire, and EMS. When lives depend on it, dont cheap out on an off-brand Amazon or temu solder connector. Ive seen them fail when a TEConn/3M, AMP, Sumitomo connector was doing just fine. Premium connectors were at the same or older age, and in the same exact location. Ive noticed that off-branded connections corrode badly. This causes huge increases in resistance and the heat generated accelerates the corrosion process. This creates a critical feedback loop, resulting in symptoms like high amp draw, tripped circuit protection, idiopathic/intermittent connection problems, and even the possibility of a fire occurring. Any location that could see moisture (direct spray or condensing) or equipment that is mission-critical/life safety critical gets these connectors on my projects, even if the client rejects the up-charges. Im not going to let a couple cents per connector result in an injury or fatality because I was too cheap to cover the cost. My primary job is in public safety, so Im a user as well as installer, so I know how problems with equipment can affect emergency responses. The absorbed cost is typically well under $50 per project, but most clients will accept the stated need of use on life-safety equipment (mobile radios, AVL/GPS, gun racks and associated release timers, in-car/body-worn surveillance, Cencom lighting controllers, primary emergency lighting, siren speaker, etc).

Good for adding the shield connection. They can be a bit tight for some two conductor cables but work great for single conductor shielded.
