Weightless device loaded with features Probably could be designed to fit into ear buds Did not know it was speakerless when I bought it I wanted it to play at my desk as the airport traffic pattern is above it but without speakers I threw it in my drawer I don’t like wires

The squelch is either on or off with the airband mode. When it is off there is a large amount of annoying static but when it is on reception is practically nil. AM/FM work fine. Small and lightweight.

Ok as a AM/FM radio but that is about it. Very disappointed with aviation band reception. The radio depends on the earbud wire as an antenna and it is also line of sight reception availability. Got it last week and would have sent it back but cannot find the invoice. Also poor quality earbud covers. Impossible to install without ripping the foam.

Q: Does the aviation band have auto squelch? or does it broadcast dead-air static?

No, it does not. However, its clarity and tone is excellent, as it is designed for listening to common busy airport traffic, tower, ground, ATIS, etc.

Q: Can you hear it without earbuds ? Does it have a speaker?

No, this does not have a speaker. Earbuds required for listening. Please note a single side earbud is included in package.

Q: Does the AirLite Digital Aircraft Radio Receiver do Bluetooth audio? I would love to listen to it in the car.

No, this does not have Bluetooth audio. It requires a physical cord connection via then 3.5 mm out line.

Q: Does the receiver have a speaker? Or does it require the earbuds?

No, this does not have a speaker. Earbuds required for listening. Please note a single side earbud is included in package.

Q: Is there a slot for antenna?

The earbud wiring acts as the antenna.

Q: What is the battery life of the AirLite radio receiver?

Per the manufacturer: The battery life is 4-1/2 hours of reception time on a full charge. This assumes you are not changing the channels. When you change the channel, the backlight comes on briefly, which speeds up the battery consumption a little bit. FWIW, the charging time is ~2 hours.
