After replacing my old expired ELT battery with this new one, I cut open the old one. It is nothing more than a bunch of 9v transistor batteries wired in parallel with removable snap cap leads. I pulled them apart, tested them, and they were all reading 90% or better. So now I guess I have a bunch of 9v batteries for smoke detectors, VOMs, etc.
