MAINTENANCE / CMM OVERHAUL |
Shipped quickly, and arrived in good shape. Work perfectly.
The valve itself is great quality. BUT, the reason I purchased them was because of the failure of the seal, which according to information available, the seal/packing is not available for replacement I did use either an MS 29513-006 or -007 to test. Although it fit, and did not leak, since it was not called out as a replacement I opted to purchase new replacement Curtis valves CCA1550 & CAA 1600 for my Tri Pacer.
Your good service and on hand supply of your advertised products just keeps getting better. Keep your Mach up Jim. You are doing a great job. John
Great people and products
Doesnt appear to leak
Great item, fast shipping and great to do business with
Service is rated A+
works as advertised
Works great. It is a good idea to change these out every few years. I used the Ez Turn Lubricant as a sealer and it worked great. Be careful not to tighten them too much as the valve will become stuck.
Exactly what we needed.
Per the manufacturer, replacement seals for these drain valves are no longer available. We do not recommend that they be overhauled. Replace the valve if it begins to leak.
Additionally, the valve is not recommended for halogenated hydrocarbons, nitro hydrocarbons, Phosphate ester hydraulic fluids, automotive brake fluids, ketone, ethers or alcohols. Fuels with additives such as alcohol or ether can cause premature deterioration of the seal rings.
CCA-1250 is spiral, twist open and CCA-1550 is push to open, turn to lock and conforms to NSN 2915-00-202-6420 when CCA-1250 does not.
This does not accept an o-ring and only accepts a seal. The seal is built in to the valve.
This valve is gravity fed so there is no operating pressure that it pushes fluid out. However, this has been has been tested at 40psi if fluid was to push through the valve.
The drain valves are made of brass.
They recommend a Teflon tape or EZ-turn (fuel lube) type liquid sealant.
Approx 0.03 lbs.
Difference is only locking action. 1550 Push, turn to lock. 1250 Spiral, turn to lock (easier to activate).
Yes that has the correct thread to use with the 10580.
