Overview

This scale can be bought in 2K by .5lb. or 3K by 1lb. or 4K by 1lb. This is a standalone scale that can be powered up by USB-C or an external battery. The scale is powder coated Hammer Tone Gray. Although these units are water resistant, they should never be washed by hose or high pressure. Gentle hand cleaning should be all that is needed to keep your scales looking new. This scale should not be used for aircraft that have dual wheels on one axle. This scale is for single wheel landing gear.

The internal display reads out to the nearest .5lb or 1LB depending on capacity. It features an LCD backlight that comes on with motion and stays on for enough time to record your reading accurately. The scale never turns off unless you tell it to. Only the backlite is on a timer and comes back on anytime you cause a little motion. The suitcase unit is powered by an A/C adapter.

The scales come certified and currently satisfies all FAA requirements for 12 months. Recertification is available at the manufacturer for an additional cost of $35.00 a Scale or $105.00 for a set of 3 plus shipping. These can be taken apart and shipped in for calibration. For a set of three the shipping weight would be around 13lbs. It is recommended to perform an inspection every year, but most scales will hold their calibration for much longer. Instructions are available so that calibration can be performed by scale technicians in your area.

The warranty is 12 months covering any manufacturing defects. The battery is not covered by warranty, but with care should last several years.
