PlanePliers Latching Pliers for Temporary Fasteners (Clecos)
Light Weight 10% lighter than traditional cleco pliers. Wider Handle - About twice as wide as traditional cleco pliers. The force on the hands soft tissue is about half that of the traditional pliers. Magnetic Cleco Capture Less dropped clecos, bending over to retrieve, etc. No requirement to utilize hand motions just to hold the cleco in pliers. Clecos can be attached to the pliers with one hand if the other hand is not available. The pair of magnets capture the cleco and orient it to align with the top of the pliers. Hard Point for cleco stem The pliers are made of aluminum; however, a hard steel puck is located at the push point in the upper portion of the pliers which press against the cleco stem. Pivot Bearing Assembly A special arrangement of bearings is housed within the pivot area. This arrangement of bearings ensures the rear of the pliers stay in alignment so the latch will stay within the catch area. The bearing assembly also provides for smooth operation. Torsion Opening Spring A torsion spring is utilized to open the pliers fully, eliminating the finger dance required to open, then hold the cleco, with the traditional pair of cleco pliers. Side Opening The approach to the cleco is from the side rather than from the front. This allows for just a slight rotation of the wrist to capture or release the cleco. This practically eliminates the full range of motion required with a front / traditional style of cleco pliers. Product Warranty: Pliers warrantied for 10 years against defects in materials and workmanship. Pliers can be returned for replacement / repair during the warranty period. |
