Ive used this oil exclusively for many years in many engines and feel its as good as oil can be. Recently tore down an engine that went 3000 SMOH (except cyls) and the crank polished out to standard as well as the cam, lifters, gears etc. I also change oil in many other conts and lycomings and it always seems the filters from engines using Phillips are usually cleaner inside.

I settled in this oil after some issues with other brands. It seems to do a great job of suspending the lead sludge we all get from 100LL.

Have been using this oil for a long time and Ive always had great results with it. The cost per quart is affordable and most of the Aircraft Ive flown have used this oil with no complaints.

Like the oil... oil is oil, so cheaper is best. Aviation engines cant really take advantage of the benefits of synthetic oil unless you have a turbo-charger. The temps are low and the use period is short. Those gallon jugs wont rest upside down in my funnel though. I like to let the bottle drain for a while just to minimize the amount of oil that goes into the landfill. Its hard with the gallons.

I have used this oil for years. It is great for breaking in and for any type of operation. I dont have to switch during the winter and summer and it meets OEM specs. But its a little lower-cost doesnt hurt either.

I purchased a case of Phillips 66 x/c 20w 50 from AC Spruce and it was ground shipped. On opening the box and removing the case of oil I found that the box was saturated with oil. The case was undamaged and had never been opened. I found one Qt. container had a cross threaded cap and three others were loose. It was a real mess. You absolutely have to put labels on the outside of the shipping box saying THIS SIDE UP. Needless to say, Im going to go back to buying oil locally. The few dollars I saved didnt come close to worth it. As for the oil itself. Its Oil. It does what its supposed to.

In the case of oil, one of the lids was not completely capped and about 1/4 of the quart leaked into the box. Case was smoked and packing paper within.

On my first order of a case with Spruce it arrived having leaked in the box and on other things I had ordered. On this past order of 2 cases, all arrived clean and secure. Will continue to order. Thanks!

Ordered 5 cases. Shipping time good. One of the cases had a quart with a loose cap, oil leaked out and made a mess.

Shipping cost would prevent me from buying again. Cheaper at the FBO.

I was a little disappointed in this purchase. The oil had been re boxed and oil was leaking from one or more of the 1 quart containers into the plastic bag used as internal packaging.

2 of 8 gallon containers were leaking causing a huge mess. I don’t have an answer to this problem because cases were sealed from factory

When I purchased my plane it had 580 hours on the engine. During an inspection, a fair amount of corrosion was found, requiring an overhaul. This is why I stick to straight weight oils and wont ever use Phillips.

There’s no foil seal or ‘lock’ ring on the cap. So two of the caps backed off and leaked oil all over the inside of the box and all over products. There needs to be SOME kind of seal on the containers.
