Service from order placement to delivery was quick. The contents were separated in individual bags and then the individual bags were packaged in a larger bag. Neat and orderly. The only thing I would ask for would be a simple diagram as to where each specific screw(s) were meant to be placed. If not a diagram, maybe a small slip of paper in each individual bag ie: “inspection panel screws”.. product is great and service is great.

Screws seem to just go missing any time I remove a part from my plane (maintenance, annuals, etc.), so getting a complete set of proper stainless screws saved me from having to root through my mechanic's hardware bins, sheepishly looking for a replacement screw that I just removed the day before. I bought a $6 parts organizer tote from Canadian Tire to hold all the different sized screws for my 1963 PA28-180, and now it's a simple matter to locate a replacement for a lost, stripped, or corroded fastener.

I was trying to purchase the screws that hold the front of my Mooney Cowl to the bottom bowl there are only 6 of them. I tried to order the right ones myself and struck out. Turns out I needed to order an entire bag of screws to get the right ones. I am thinking most of these are going to sit in my workshop forever but I got about a dozen of the ones I needed. Ordering individual pieces of hardware seems to be more difficult than it should be. But once I received the bag I did have the set I needed.

Gving three stars due to kit being a little too universal....it appears to try and cover all years of the C172, or just certain years. I was able to use roughly half or less of the screws provided. Making sets available that are a little more year/generation specific would be nice.

What is the purpose of putting together a kit but not stating what it includes? How is the purchaser to know whether it meets his requirements? This kit includes a huge number of the truss head screws used on C-172 inspection plates, and quite a few AN526C-632R8 1/2-inch truss head machine screws used to fasten the top and bottom of the cowling together behind the spinner. However, I need at least two of the latter that are 3/4 for the outside corners of the cowling the 1/2 ones are not long enough at that location. So now Im still looking to replace two specific screws that are very cheap, paying ten times their cost for shipping, when I could have included them in my order if I had known they werent in the kit.

Parts are excellent. Unfortunately, the catalog does not list what parts are included in the kit and the individual bags are not marked for what they contain. I have way too many of some types of screws and not enough of others. Some of the most needed screw types only included 5 or 6 screws. Id like to order additional screws to make up for the ones that didnt come with enough screws but since the screws are not labeled I cant. Kit needs more screws and better labeling.

Bought it to replace some exterior screws. Great idea but not a one screw matched the ones I was looking to replace. Im sure many of the other matches but mine didnt. I have a Cessna M337B or O-2A.

A good selection of screws. I was hoping that the 182 set would contain what I need to replace the exterior screws on my Cessna 182S during an annual. It didnt have nearly enough flat-head screws to replace all the screws on my access panels, and had a huge excess of oval-head screws. There were also a few access panels which used screws not found in this kit (such as the ones on the flaps). My guess is that pre-restart 182 models had fewer countersunk holes on the outside, and this kit is optimized for them. Nevertheless, if you just want some spare screws to replace the ones which inevitably fall out, this is a good kit to have on hand.

The kit is not complete. There were no screws for the interior side panels

Only includes one size of sheet metal screw, while many different sizes are needed on my super cub.

I purchased kit #04-01000 for the Cessna 150/152 and took them over to my A&P/IA to review. He said he would not use them as the #10 1/2 (5ea), #8 1/2 (about 100ea) and #6 1/2 (20ea) were all Truss Type A and are a more course thread than the Type B. He will not use a Type A screw with Tinnermans. I decided to keep the kit, purchase Type B replacements and use the Type A for non-tinnerman use.

Ordered kit 04-03710 for a Pitts s2a. Don’t order. No washers are included and all screws were type A truss head when type B is required.

In case your ordering for a Mooney 201/231/252 just to let you know, the only screws I really needed were the cowling camlock screws, which are very commonly lost. This kit includes none, zero, zilch of these screws. Oops, wish I had known.
