I think the Dzus is perfect for larger full scale projects. That being said my project involves Quarter scale body parts which require a more precise application. Under a sixteenth to a thirty-second inch, Dzus to through hole isnt out of the question. The limitations of this type Dzus are a result of the step down shaft diameter on the head-end that leaves a ridge on the shaft and causes it to hang up and needs to be fiddled with for release. I put each of them on the lathe to taper the ridge down thinking it would facilitate a smother removal, but to no avail.

Q: If I order a Dzus fastener, does it come with the appropriate spring?

No, the springs are sold separate.

Q: Are the dimension in inches are in cm?

Dims are in inches.

Q: I own a 1947 Bonanza 35, Dzus part # for the studs are AJ5-30. What is the corresponding Dzus spring part #?

It depends on the total thickness from under the head to the spring. For that stud it would be S5A-200 through 275. There is a chart on the web.

Q: Do these come with the delrin washers/spacers?

No, you can purchase the GP3B separately, its a plastic half grommet.

Q: What snap ring is used to retain Dzus D4-AJ5-30?

You would use an SR5SS snap ring for AJ5 dzus fasteners.
