The filter element is made from medical grade, type 304 stainless steel micronic filter cloth providing unmatched protection against oil contamination and resultant engine damage. A rare earth magnet is installed in the top of the element for magnetic pre-filtering of the oil. The unique twist lock design allows for easy disassembly, inspection and cleaning. The quad-ring gasket doubles the seal between the filter and the engine . The filter housing is carved out of a solid piece of 6061 T6 billet aluminum with cooling fins, which not only looks good but aids in dissipating heat. |

Excellent product!, this filter will save you a lot of money in disposable filters, also my plane runs a little bit cooler, very good quality machinning and finish. This filter is washable and it also contains a magnetic plug to keep the oil free of metal particles. Yes the Rotax engine have his own magnetic plug but the magnet in this filter is stronger.

This Challenger oil filter replaces the standard oil filter and mounts in the original location. This filter has a series of stainless steel mesh filters and the unit is easily disassembled to be cleaned and reused.
