At only 26 millimeters in height (1.024 inch) the new PowerBurst NG™ DayLite is a value light that does not sacrifice anything in performance or standards as other economy-priced lights offered by the competition |
The Aveo Powerburst is easy to install and significantly brighter and lighter than my old Whelen strobe system. The only downside for my application was the hole pattern on the new unit did not match my old strobe installation. That was solved by fabricating a tear shaped mounting plate to go between the Aveo and old wing tip surface. This allowed me to match the old hole pattern and add nut plates to secure the new lights, thus avoiding fiberglass and sanding a new mounting surface. I suspect the average install will not need this step and mount more conveniently.
Aveo=great customer service
Very easy installation. Had to make a mounting plate for my Cozy. Much brighter navigation lights than old Whelan system.
Nice unit, very bright strobe!
Not installed yet but are very bright. They’re going work great on my RANS S-19
Put them on an RV7. Theyre Gucci, would recommend
Great lights for the price. I had one strobe fail after four years but AVEO replaced it for free. Mine haven't yellowed as someone mentioned but the plane is hangered.
First set of lights I've purchased for my airplane. Easy to install. Work great. Lightweight. Very low power consumption ...I haven't seen them from the outside while flying but all reports are they're bright, easy to see, etc. ...lighting up reflectors 500+ feet away - didn't expect that from a nav light.
Absolutely fantastic and at an incredible price
Easy to install. More brightness than orginal strobe on a C172. Only sad part, total 730 $ for lights, trading and toll to sweden.
Yes, 14V sets can be used in 12V systems as they are essentially interchangable.

The blue wire is an optional sync feature. The lights are closely matched at the factory but they will, over cycling, end up out of sync if the blue wires are not connected between the lights. If you don't care about syncing then there is no need to connect the blue wires.
Yes, this is within the operating range for this light set.
The tech data sheet only shows the strobe (white) flashing. The red / green lights do not flash.
Repetition Rate of Strobe: 50 cycles per minute. This would equal 1.2 flashes per second.
The Aveo Powerburst(05-04877) is the DayLite model.
Aveo does not provide candela information. They state that the candela depends on lab resting conditions.
The nav lights have a separate power supply than the strobe. You can wire two switches to operate independently.
