Overview

A more advanced book by Pete Vosbury and Charles Otis of Embry Riddle Aeronautical University covering aircraft gas turbine powerplants, exceeding the levels taught for A&P or EASA B1.1.

Those who will find this book of interest include the A&P or B1 technician who wants a greater understanding or who intends to specialize in turbine engines, or those who want an engineering or design specialty in turbine engines who will find this book as a good introduction.

With over 500 illustrations, charts, and tables; in this book you will find comprehensive information on the theory of gas turbine engines as well as specific extensive coverage of all turbine systems and types, as well as their practical application in a variety of aircraft including helicopters, turboprops, up to the largest transport-category airliners.

The Aircraft Gas Turbine Powerplants workbook includes a series of carefully prepared study questions matching each chapter. These questions to emphasize key elements and enable you to continually check your understanding as you navigate through the material.

This was a General text book. Not what I needed, only had a few paragraphs on turbines. I needed a book on turboprop engines. Book was sent back.
