After precleaning with BONDERITE C-IC 33 AERO, rinse with water. Apply without dilution by brushing or swabbing with sponge. Rinse with water and surface is ready for paint. This is a visible coating which leaves the surface with a golden coloration. The alodized surface provides protection against weather and firmly bonds paint. 1 quart treats about 100 sq. ft. Flammable. Available in quart and gallon sized. HAZARDOUS

The jug left over from building the wings over a year ago lost its potentcy. The new bottle was very strong for the first batch of parts dipped and then toned down to the mild gold tint as subsequent parts were dipped in the tub.
We dip our parts- provides a nice straw gold conversion coating-monitor closely it is quite concentrated.
Leaves aluminum with the golden coloration as described and protects the surface from weather.

This product has a twelve month shelf life from the day the container is opened, but no longer than 36 months from the date of manufacture.
Coverage area will vary with the mix ratio, application efficiency, part size, and the amount of corrosion to be removed. Under ideal conditions, a gallon of ALODINE 1201 will treat 800 square feet of surface. Prime within 24 hours of application.

Yes, the gold tone is the only alodine 1201 in production currently. For Alodine 1001, see Part# 09-01628. This has a different tone.

The temp range for the 1201 is listed as "room temp to 100f." C-IC 33 is listed as "room temp to 120f."
This is only for aluminum per the tech sheet.
We would recommend the 09-01630 touch up pen. It would require rinsing and its easier to keep it off the surrounding paint.
