General aviation’s newest and most advanced NAV/COM radio is pilot-friendly by design. That’s because we consulted pilots at every phase of a development process that started with a blank CAD screen and ended with the creation of a groundbreaking new radio for the 2020s and beyond. The BendixKing KX 200 is an easy direct replacement with the same footprint as your current KX 155/165 radio. But that is where the similarity ends. The KX 200 features:
BendixKing Makes Upgrading to the KX 200 Easy Moving up to the KX 200 couldn’t be easier, since it’s a direct replacement for your current KX 155, 165 and can substitute other radios using the same tray and connector. That also means the KX 200 is compatible with existing equipment, which reduces both cost and aircraft downtime during the conversion |

Per BendixKing: The KX-200 has been designed to directly replace existing legacy KX-155 and KX-165 radios. For 14 and 28 volt applications, a separate adapter is required for each of these installations.

Yes, the 14v adapter would be required here.
This item will come from Aircraft Spruce once our stock is received.
Per BendixKing: The adapter will be mounted on to the back of the KX 200 to allow the "slide-in" replacement from the KX radios. The mounting and connector of the KX 200 is slightly different than the KX radios, so the adapter will allow the installer to just slide in the KX 200 without any wiring changes.
As a new install, as in not replacing a KX radio, the adapter will not be needed.
