The H10-13.4 headset provides David Clark quality without the hot spots, clamping, or weight discomfort. It features a certified noise reduction rating of 23 dB and weighs only 16.5 oz. It features M-7A noise cancelling electret mic, and low profile volume controls with detent settings.
The Super-Soft, Double-Foam Headpad will improve the comfort and “wearability” of all H10-series headsets. It is wider and more tapered with 60% more surface area in contact with the head to dissipate headset weight. Its unique center “hinge” actually lets the headpad “breathe” for greater comfort. It also eliminates irritation while wearing button-top baseball caps. The new Comfort-Gel Ear Seals have a patented undercut design and are 26% lighter and allow 30% more interior room for your ears, making for a quieter, more comfortable flight. Available in Standard Mono (five foot straight cord and dual plugs for fixed wing aircraft) |
Ive accidentally sat on on these in the plane. No problem, theyre very well made. Heavy duty. Thicker plastic. Theyre my wifes and she doesnt care much for the difference between my Bose ANRs and these. Weve had them for 2 years. To her the difference is nominal. I forgot my a20s and used these for a 2 day camping trip and actually enjoyed not worrying about batteries, no adjustment of the settings and being comfortable with just leaving them on the yokes. She was right, After awhile, I didnt miss the ANR. I would say it was slightly more pressure on my 7 7/8 head than the Bose a20s.
Wonderful fitting headsets with excellent sound. Almost as good as a ANR headset but not the price. I love DC customer care as well - you know they will take care of you as a customer years down the road. Made in America is a well-welcomed bonus as well.
Good price and a great headset, has plenty of noise reduction without ANR. I prefer to be able to hear the engine when flying but its quiet enough that its certainly not annoying.
David Clark has always been the go to headset for all my aviation needs.
My instructor recommended the David Clark H10-13.4 Headset, but I already had a preference for DC based on their impeccable reputation. I was excited to receive my order from Aircraft Spruce, and was thrilled to be able to use the headset the next day. It lived up to its billing as a solid performer at a reasonable price.
Great product and much lighter than my previous DC headset. Quick delivery and great service.
Finally made the jump and bought my own first headset. No more questionable mic foamies. Great comfort, excellent mic quality. Plug in and youre set. If youre stuck choosing between noise cancelling and just regular headsets, ask yourself what kind of flying will you be doing? Long haul flights where listening to music would be of benefit instead of the constant drone of jet noise? Short flights, training? Would you be bothered by extra batteries? Just because everyone is telling you to buy the bose doesnt mean you should too. I went with these Clarkies and I couldnt be happier, I just saved $1000 and Im putting that towards my night rating. This is a great headset to start off with or use for 10yrs+. Im saying this from my observations of other pilots using this headset for that amount of time. Im personally not a fan of the active noise reduction headsets, extra batteries etc Passive noise blocking is good enough for me and what Ill be flying. I like to hear my engine purr, more importantly when its not purring.
Excellent product !
