A radio that offers more than any other in the same class. AirLite Pro is a full featured aircraft radio scanner and Ham Transceiver, with groundbreaking new features. The AirLite Pro receives all aircraft channels between 118 and 137 mhz. Standard US spacing of 25khz is supported. Significantly, this new product also provides simultaneous reception on two different frequencies, allowing a listener to monitor frequencies such as tower and ground at the same time. We call this feature Dual ReceptionTM. |
Used it, liked it alot. Fact that I can pick up NOAA weather is great, reception is very good for this little radio. Being able to listen to FM music and news is great too... Nice added feature.
AIRLITE PRO DIGITAL AIRCRAFT RADIO RECEIVER
The receiver is a good performer. BUT the minimal reference manual is sorely lacking in explaining the 50 menu functions and how to execute them properly. it is a very serious oversight on the part of the manufacturer and it reflects on Aircraft Spruce when people buy a product that does not meet expectations. I would not recommend this product to my friends without a warning about this shortcoming.
AIRLITE PRO DIGITAL AIRCRAFT RADIO RECEIVER
Good radio, I use as ham transceiver as well as aircraft monitor. No issue using the enclosed cd software and cable. The actual radio I received looks nice, has the Radiant Technology branding on the front top. I’d attach a pic but unable on this site.
Sensitive Aircraft Band Receiver. Plenty of volume but all the sound exits through two narrow slots on the front of the radio which makes the audio sound somewhat tinny. The programming software is OK but if you havent programmed commercial LMR or ham radio transceivers before, the documentation is minimal. Operation as a dual band ham radio transceiver is decent but overall, the radio has a few rough edges in the user interface that could be greatly improved with a firmware update. The display is easy to read, even in sunlight but the screen blanks after a few seconds of adjusting the controls or an incoming call. (Programmable in length) and you cant tell if the radio is on or off and what youre tuned to. Many radios have the option to turn the screen on all the time with a slight impact on battery life. The lens covering the display is a softer plastic that is easily scratched so a screen protector of some type is recommended to keep your screen more readable. The drop in battery charger is a nice accessory but the availability of USB charging via the USB-C connector in the rear of the battery is a convenient way to charge the radio on the go and preserve battery life. The Airlite Pro is a decent value for the money, especially if you plan to use it for both air band reception and ham radio. With some refinement and better documentation, it could be a 5 star product.
AIRLITE PRO DIGITAL AIRCRAFT RADIO RECEIVER
This is a fun little radio that seems to work as advertised. I use it for VHF communication on our farm, as well as monitoring local air traffic. My main complaint is that the large screen face is not overly robust, and received a small crack shortly after I started using it, not sure how it happened. I also have not had success with the programming software, but thats not a biggie to me.
AIRLITE PRO DIGITAL AIRCRAFT RADIO RECEIVER
Manual is worthless no way it explains how to program the receiver. Doesnt even tell what each button is. Cable and cd Doesnt do anything either.

Per Airlite: "The direct entry of frequencies is in 500 hertz steps; enter the frequency closest to the required euro frequency. It will be off by about 160 or 320 hertz; but the way AM demodulation works, will still work fine. This is a bit of a hack but it does work."
This unit is receive / listen only. It is not a transceiver.
