This product is perfect choice for extending CHT or EGT thermocouple circuits. It will survive the high temperature environment being near engines hot cylinders. When I received this wire, it is indeed very small and I mistook it to be a single strand, not two. My wifes better eyes carefully examined the starnd and there are infact two wires there. It helps to peel back the outer sheath to see them. This is a great product!

This is solid type K wire which is fine for applications where there is no flex. JPI yellow-jacket wire is stranded and has heavier outer insulation for firewall forward I would use that stuff for both reasons. For a long run to an OAT probe tucked away somewhere this wire will work fine.
