Q: How long is the extension lead for the OAT probe?
10 foot leads are included. Contact sales if you need a longer lead.
Q: Is this the correct OAT probe for installation with a EDM 730?
Yes, this probe is compatible with all EDM series instruments.
Q: Does this include the P3 harness so that it can be added on to an EDM 730?
Per JPI: This is just an OAT probe that has to be pinned into the harness on your EDM.
Q: I have an EDM 700 on my V35B Bonanza and would like to add OAT to get get rid of the original aircraft OAT. Do these come from the factory pre-wired for OAT? Also is the EDM OAT probe the same size as the original OAT probe?
Yes, the probe size is the same. They are not pre-wired, you can add the OAT option to your EDM 700 at any time.
Q: Does the OAT feature of the EDM 760 satisfy the requirement to have an OAT? I have an EDM760 (love it) and just went to a one piece windshield - dont want to poke a hole in it for the old OAT probe.
The JPI EDM 760 is not a primary replacement and can only be used as a back up instrument.
