This clock and timer has many good features but several design missteps that limit functionality. The most curious design issue is that the back of the clock is sloped so that mounting it to any vertical surface angles the face, and thus the display, downward. Furthermore, the back of the clock has a metal clip. Im not sure what the clip is for, because only fabric or a thin piece of material will fit the clip. This clip rotates so the clock never feels stable and it also reduces the mounting surface area. This makes mounting even more tenuous. The clip can be unscrewed, but the clock would still be angled downward and since the back has little flat surface, the clock is never securely mounted. I wanted to like this clock and it is twice the price of other timers, but its functionality is hampered by illogical design choices that our out of step for its intended function. I would recommend one of the more conventional, flat mounted timers - at half the price.
