It is a beautifully crafted watch, the display is bright and vibrant, and it does what it is designed to do, aviation relayed tasks, very well. Unfortunately, in my opinion, it does MANY other things like monitoring your health, sports, animated workouts, golf, to name a few. Garmin makes watches specific to each of those areas and none of them include aviation tasks. It has great battery life if one selects battery saver mode, which essentially renders it a watch only. Adding to the complexity of the watch is a user manual that is not very well organized. I’m glad I bought the watch but it could be less frustrating!
Garmin D2 Mach 1 Black Brushed Titanium With Titanium Band
Lightweight, and tons of great aviation features. The weather info alone is fantastic, let alone having runway data with wind, metars, frequencies, etc all on your wrist. Plus all the actual “flying” functions, it’s definitely a useful last resort backup if you’re ever in a bind. Pricey, but that’s Garmin for you. Once you upgrade your panel first, I’d recommend greatly.
