Works great! I initially bought the more expensive temperature compensated gauge which did not work at all. Apparently it was defective out of the box. I replaced it with this and finally have a gauge that works. Very pleased with it.

Arrived quickly. Exactly what I ordered. ACS hits home run. The sender is not as robust as one that I would design, and over time they fall apart and get twisted into oblivion after many spark plug changes on two stroke engines. That characteristic may be unavoidable. They are relatively cheap and easy to replace.
I bought the Westach CHT Probe J Wire 14MM Ring 4 Lead 712-4Wk Non-TSO Part # 10-01227 to use on the Westach Dual CHT Gauge 2DC8 Part# 10-01791, BUT the connectors on the 712-4Wk are too small to fit over the pins on the Gauge. I called today to send it back and get the correct ones, but no luck so far. Also, the name is misleading - even though it says 4 Lead, it is only for one side of the gauge ( I would think that would be called a 2 Lead) so even if it did fit youd need to buy two of them for this dual CHT gauge.
The casting of the case is unacceptable in any case (tso or not) The back plate still has spurs from the molding process. The back plate bows in the middle between all four corners. I have not installed or run this gauge, but not expecting much. This gauge would be OK at $30-40.

The Westach Cylinder Head Temperature Gauge is for use with a 48" type J"712 series thermocouple.
Per Westach, the Cylinder Head Temperature CHT Gauge does not feature temperature compensation.
