Overview

**NOT FAA APPROVED - FOR USE IN EXPERIMENTAL AIRCRAFT ONLY**

Altimeter + Airspeed + VSI + TAS + OAT + Density Altitude + G-Meter

RADIANT's Universal Multi-Function Instrument (UMFI) is an all-in-one flight instrument for builders who want maximum usefulness in minimum panel space.

In normal operation, UMFI displays indicated altitude, Kollsman setting, indicated airspeed, true airspeed, outside air temperature, vertical speed, and density altitude. Density altitude is always highlighted for quick recognition, and the built-in G-meter adds a useful picture of recent aircraft loading without requiring another instrument hole.

The updated platform gives the builder meaningful setup flexibility. UMFI supports 100 or 200 top-of-scale airspeed range selection, knots or MPH, inHg or hPa Kollsman units, °F or °C temperature display, and customizable airspeed arcs including VSO, VS1, VFE, VF1, VNO, and VNE. The airspeed sensor may also be zeroed and saved to non-volatile memory.

An external temperature probe is included, and UMFI is offered in both 2-1/4 inch and 3-1/8 inch versions for flexible panel installation.

Q: Is this Radiant altimeter divided in two? Can I separate them and place one above the other?

No this cannot be split apart, but they can flip flop back and forth.

Q: I am confused. Other Radiant instruments on you website indicate their mounting diameter is 2.25. The UMFI-22 only says standard instrument hole which I would assume is 3-1/8. What is the diameter of the UMFI-22?

This gauge is a 2-1/4 mounting hole size which is also standard in instrumentation. Typically instruments will be either 3-1/8 or 2-1/4.

Q: Is the Radiant Multifunction 2 screens side by side or is it one screen with 2 selectable displays?

Per Radiant: "It is one screen and you can advance between the displays."

Q: Is there a manual available? Thanks

Yes, we have added the manual to the web page for download.

Q: Is the diagonal screen size on this Radiant Multi-function instrument the same as on the GEN-2 Universal Airspeed Indicator?

2-3/8 inches
