Overview

This LED light wedge and dimmer starter kit from Nulite includes two (2) 3-1/8-inch round and (1) 3-1/8-inch altimeter cutout, plus one (1) MaxDim Dimmer Duo controller from Seaton Engineering. Nulite LED aircraft instrument lights use bright, long-lasting LEDs inside of a special bezel that focuses light toward the instrument, rather than toward the pilot’s eyes. The MaxDim Dual controller from Seaton Engineering is the perfect option for controlling lighting and instrument panels in new or existing aircraft.

Will not work with DC to AC inverted systems

This kit is pretty good. I like that you can trim the plastic bezels for clearance ( I had two that were close together in the panel). The Max Dim dual switch that comes with it seems like a functionally good unit. For the money it could be better executed. The backing placard is made of cardboard, mine arrived bent with a crease across it. you have to glue it in place. I left it off and will have to get something made, it just looked too cheap for what it cost. It also uses metric fasteners.

Q: What color are the LEDs?

These LEDs are bluish white.

Q: All the nulite instruments seem to be 28V system. Will they work on 14v PA28 aircraft?

Part # 11-13957 is a 12v bundle. It can be selected from the drop down menu.

Q: Is there a difference between an dimmer for LED lights, and a dimmer for ordinary lights?

The LEDS use a different dimmer. Nulite recommends the MaxDim 9100-001-A Dimmer.
