I found this system after my bleeder from Aircraft Tool Supply died and they didnt have a replacement. It is amazingly simple and easy to use. A few comments if you buy one. Set it up as they describe. It is very helpful to see that air in the line is being expelled, so if your fluid reservoir is empty, put in a little brake fluid so you can see the bubbles as the air is expelled. Also, the flow rate is proportional to the difference in the height between your reservoir and the source bottle. It worked better (i.e. faster) when I taped the source bottle to an 8 long 1x2 piece of wood and taped the wood to a vertical surface. Finally, yes, taking the fitting off of the brake and replacing the correct brake assembly is messy. I used a cookie sheet under the brakes. But as long as you dont siphon out all of the fluid in the reservoir, there should be no air in the line. It seemed like I had lost a lot of fluid, but when I checked the reservoir, the level had decreased by about 1/8.

Worked perfectly for my experimental Super Cub .

First I removed the small nipple on the Cleveland brake caliper and attached the bleeder adapter that came with it. Then a installed a different hose to the master cylinder then what came with the kit. This hose has a shut off valve on it so that the line can be closed off after bleeding. This is to prevent the oil in the system from draining back out when you remove the adaptor at the caliper. I lost a few drops of oil when I removed the adaptor. and installed the nipple. The oil came from the adaptor, not the caliper. Dont forget to close the valve at the bottle first. If you rely on just the head of the oil container above the master cylinder to bleed the air, it will take for ever. At least on my Pulsar. So I used the bulb to move it along. From start to finish it took about 1 hour by myself. Very pleased so far.

This does the job for a Vans RV-12iS, where other brake bleeders did not. Fills from the bottom. It works with hydraulic fluid. It is necessary to switch the fitting by unscrewing and replacing, which makes a mess. It would be better with a fitting to snap over the zerk so you could just loosen it and re-tighten.

Used to bleed brakes on my RV-7A. Lines are barely long enough for bottom up bleeding and sufficiently long for top down (e.g. through the reservoir), which I needed to do for my dual brake setup. Youll need a smaller diameter hose to catch fluid at the caliper nipple since the supplied hoses are too large. Overall, a decent kit for single person bleeding.

Here is a little update. What this bleeders lacks for in bleeding brakes it makes for in servicing struts. A little caution is required to keep from making a mess but it can be used to fill a strut with hydraulic fluid while purging out the air in pretty short order.

I replaced the original bleeder piece on this unit with a custom adapter I made and changed the hose to a little larger diameter. Now it works like a four stars unit.

Definitely takes some fiddling to get working, but it does the job once you figure it out. Definitely makes a mess too, but it can be mitigated a little bit with some quick finger plugging while swapping the filler fitting for the actual fitting.

It works ok. We still used the ball to push fluid through. I bought this hoping I could use this without any help but it really helped having a second person . Short answer is , it works, it would have went faster with a standard pump and two people. The unit does appear to be made of quality materials. Make sure you open the lid so the fluid will flow because there is no vent.

I like the premise behind the design but I don’t think the designer has ever bled brakes on an aircraft. Be prepared to change the caliper connection to something that will allow you to use the bleeder as intended. If you don’t you will make a good sized mess and possibly introduce air into the brake system while reinstalling the bleeder.

Used on a Lancair 360 (very low brake bleeder attachment) This unit does the job within 10 - 15 minutes as the claim it would, BUT it surely makes a hell of a mess. You need to take out the bleeder attachment of the brakes and screw this unit in... well, as you unscrew your brake and until this is screwed in, the hydraulic fluid keeps flowing out to the floor rather quickly. A hell of a mess. I will not use it again.

It does not work with low wing piper aircraft, even with Cleveland brakes. Seems like that should be stated in the listing and with the product. This information is direct from the manufacturer, after I called them to see why it was not working.
