The good: Reduced the number of fittings and adapters required to connect to an AN8 female fitting. Smaller overall length compared to the companys female fitting, which required an adapter. Better able to connect things in tight quarters. The could be better: Its a proprietary threading . If youre having to deal with NPT, AN and ORB fittings, this adds to your headaches.
