I have been using a 3 seat pad for several years now, mainly to improve my visibility over the long nose of my plane. Having a better view improved my landings considerably. After changing planes, my seat pad kept sliding forward and this became a problem. I wanted one with a built-in back, to hold the bottom in place. I recently flew with a pilot who had one of these that hes had for 20 years, I immediately found this one and bought it. Ive only used it twice, but so far its great. It gives me the better forward vision and doesnt move around. The true test of comfort will be a 1,200 mile cross country I have planned for July.

Bought a second one. First one with lower foam and lesser back pad I use as my primary seat cushion in a little Chalenger 1 and love it. The new one I had to get for my vertically challenged Wife, so she can see out the windshield and reach the pedals in the 172. The seat seams VERY stiff but hopefully will get softer with use. My wife uses it reversed. Seat as back cushion and back padding for seat. Now she can reach the pedals.

Has an Aircraft Spruce logo facing forward when seated on top of back rest. Shipping was quick as usual. Bought to boost a child up so the could see over the glare shield.

I really like it and it sure makes a hug difference for me in the plane. Only thing I think would be I wish the seat was a bit deeper. It doesn’t quite cover the whole seat of the plane and I can feel it kind of cutting into the back of my leg buy as I get busy in the plane I don’t notice it as much. But otherwise it does it’s job!

Works well. Originally ordered the 4x3 which also worked although it seemed that I was sitting up just a little too high, so I ordered the 3x1 1/2. The 4x3 I kept for my grandson which works great for him. Would have given 5 stars if you offered a 3x2or even a 3x3 - I have real short legs and its a stretch to reach the rudders. Would certainly recommend this product to anyone who wants better vision especially when flying a tail dragger.

Fit perfectly, seat is firm but not too hard.

The construction of this booster seat is excellent. The heavy cordura is very durable and holds up well with jean rivets and heavier pant fabrics. As well, it breathes well. The foam appears to provide good support and has not broken down in almost 100 hours of flight. The cut out and short length keep the cushion out of the way of center stick controls. I found that the short length felt odd at first, but after 2 minutes of going through start up tasks, you forget about it. On longer flights of 2-4 hour duration, the cant of the legs across the cushion is very comfortable. Its now a fixture in both pilot and copilots seats in our plane.

For the -12077 model with c/o for control stick. Works fine, well constructed so I expect it will last. Down side is that c/o is much larger than needed which leaves only 6-7 inches of seat bottom between back panel and stick cutout. suitable for children but pre-teens and older would find it difficult.

It’s hard to give a rating on an item I returned, but I gave it 3 star because the seat was sewn together well and the material felt very durable. The reason I returned the cushion is because the seat area is too small and comes to about mid thigh. It also is not wide enough and I found myself shifting the cushion from side to side to get it comfortably centered. The seat cushion is also uniformly the same thinkness and would better shaped into a wedge tapering near the front of the aircraft seat.

Good build quality and solid foam. Wouldve gotten more stars if not for the fact that the seat are is WAY too short from back to front, measuring only 12 inches. It causes half of your leg from mid thigh to the knee to be unsupported and uncomfortable.

The seat depth needs to be longer so it extends the full depth of the seat. But it works well regardless.

The cushion is comfortable, but in my 172M the bottom is short from the end of the seat. That causes a pressure spot between the cushion ends and the seat ends. On a long flight this caused some discomfort. I tried to purchase a different product first, but that purchase was refunded for lack of stock. Check your seat depth.

The concept is great for flying with a stick, however, the seat is half the size it needs to be. The sitting area is only 6 long. Not big enough for my 8 year old grandson to sit on. It would work fine if the actual sitting area was 12 long measured from the back of the cutout. It would also be a good idea to bevel the extended leg areas for comfort.
