The gps 20a is compatible with both the gdu 375 and the becker 6401. If your becker 6401 is the -1 version you will meet the mandate, the -2 version will not. Please verify the becker part number.
Q: Will the G3X GPS20A connect to the Trig 22 transponder to provide a position source?
Yes, it will connect via a RS-232 line.
Q: Does the Garmin GPS20A meet the requirements of TSO C-154c specification, in order to be used as a compliant position source?
It is a rule-compliant, non-TSOd GPS position source for experimental aircraft.
Q: Will this Garmin G3X GPS 20A work with a MGL iEFIS and Sandia transponder?
No, this unit will only work with the G3X.
Q: My Trig TT22 Transponder required a certification level for the GPS source. What level should I use when using the GPS 20A as the GPS source.
Although the GPS 20A will work we recommend using the TN70 with the TT22.
Q: Is the gps20a compatible with the garmin GA56 low profile antenna
It is not compatible with the ga56, but is compatible with the ga35 low profile waas gps antenna. The gps20a must have a waas gps antenna.
Q: I have a GTX 345 WITHOUT internal GPS, will the garmin GPS 20A ADS-B work as a GPS source for the GTX 345 Transponder?
The GPS 20A can be used as an approved WAAS GPS source with the GTX 345 on an experimental aircraft. The GPS 20A is not a certified unit, and as such cannot be used in certified part 23 aircraft.
Q: Would this Garmin GPS 20A work in conjunction with the GTX330ES and GA35 antenna work to satisfy the 2020 mandate for ADS-B out?
The GPS 20A cannot be used as a GPS source the the GTX330ES as that unit is made for the G3X system that is controlled by the GDU display.
Q: Will the GPS20A work with the Honeywell KT-74 Mode S transponder?
We do not have compatibility information between these two manufacturers.
Q: Will the Garmin GPS 20A work with the GTX 45R to give me ADS-b in and out? And is the GA35 antenna all that I will need if I am going to go with XM weather also?
The GA 35 will not receive XM signals, only WAAS GPS. The GPS 20A can be used as a WAAS GPS source in experimental installations.
Q: Is the G3X gps 20A compatible with a Garmin GTX 327 transponder and if so does it require another antenna?
