Reduces the electrical load on your system. Make sure to get the clear lens for the wing tips so the bulbs will be as bright as possible. Dont reuse the red and green OE lens.

These look great, way brighter. In fact they were noticed at the airport and a few others ordered that day.

These fit perfectly in my Bonanza and are two to three times brighter than the stock bulbs, and with a little luck they will out live my Bonanza. I put these in since I’m going with the ADS-B out solution “Skybecon” - operation requires the position lights to remain on at all times and these LEDs are perfect for that application. To bad the FAA cant get out of their own way and make these bulbs PMA for certified aircraft in about a day for all the right and safer reasons. Regardless, my Mech had to sign these off as “minor repair” in my log book.

I am very well pleased with these replacement LEDS. They appear to be as bright as the bulbs that they replace, and all three together take less power than one of the ones they replaced. Having just installed them, I havent had a chance to do an actual flight yet, but Iam certain they will be satisfactory.

These perform exactly as one would expect LED lights to perform, i.e. bright, pure color, almost no heat, low power drain. They dont even register on the aircrafts ammeter when turned on. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that I have no idea about longevity.

For the money and ease, you cant beat em! Direct fit LED replacements bulbs, that have the same form factor as incandescent. Dropped right in, brighter, and hopefully will last years. Happy so far.

This item is advertised as being 30% brighter than Incandescent. A typical GE 1777 tail light bulb is rated at 327 Lumens. 30% brighter would put these LED bulbs at 425 Lumens. From my observation, these LED bulbs are no brighter than the original Incandescent bulbs.

Well we loved these. Very bright on our C-170B and with only a 20 amp generator the load savings was great. BUT, we are getting significant interference/static over the intercom. It is like someone is pulsing the squelch. Turn the nav lights off, and its gone. Put the stock bulbs back in and no interference wit hnav lights on. Now these old (1954) a/c do not have much shielding and this may not happen on all a/c, but it is unfortunate for us. Modern Garmin radio with delco 20 amp generator and original wiring. Wonder what causes this!

These bulbs are supposed to be bay15. However, they were INDEXED... which surprised me. They are not supposed to be indexed, according to the explanations. They fit my wingtip housings, but were somewhat loose. I am trying to lodge something within the housing to keep them from moving around/loosening.

Fits perfectly into our Cessna 152 and they are certainly brighter, but we have to pull them out due to radio static interference. We have a new PM8000BT Audio panel with dual KX-165s so its not the original 1970s ARC radios. Turn the Nav lights off and interference goes away. Disappointed I have to pull them out.

The low rating I’m giving is for the LED lights themselves. They are NOT for C172! They put out very high frequencies radio waves that interfere with the Nav/Com radios. But AirSpruce was good about letting me return the product.

Bought 2 sets of these (white, red, and green), a total of 6 bulbs. Two of the light bulbs (red and white) were bad. When you try to twist the light bulb into the socket on the plane, the glass top portion of the bulb would twist and the bottom part would not.

The shape of the base will not turn into the grooves. The bases are stamped and not pins. (rounded corners at base of the pins) While attempting to install the glass twisted off. I do not recommend..
