Neither an air fitting from compressor or from portable tank would add air, but instead only succeeded in letting all air out for a totally flat tire. Repeated efforts to add air failed so ended up removing fairing and tire for better access to valve. Took tire to another mechanic who had a fitting that would add air, but another would not. It seems the valve stem is too far recessed for most filler fittings to properly engage it. Very inconvenient at the least... hope never need to add air again, especially in a transient situation any attempt could turn into a flat tire.
