AIRCRAFT WINGTIP NAVIGATION LIGHT CLEAR LENS COVER

June 21, 2022

Exact replacement lens for use with NavStrobe lighting. As others noted, its a little taller than the Grimes colored lens. Fits, but not perfectly.

Optically Pure and much thinner glass than the Whelen original lens. For the Cessna, I cracked one tightening the center attachment screw in place to the same tolerances as the Whelen colored unit. Had to replace it.

Not the same high quality as the original part. The base is very rough, appears chipped. Will try using it with a good sealer. Surprised, I expected much better, especially at this high price!

Be very careful with your install of this lens because it is a lot thinner that the colored lens it replaces. Also the lens is slightly taller the colored lens and you might have to make some adjustments to cover.
