Overview

The recombinant gas RG® Series VRLA-AGM batteries are known for superior starting power with quick, cool operation in all conditions without the threat of thermal runaway. Less initial cost than NiCd, no deep cycling, and maintenance free design reducing operating costs per hour. Concorde recombinant gas valve regulated lead acid batteries for engine starting, emergency / essential power, and standby power applications are constructed with cutting edge Absorbed Glass Mat (AGM) technology. Concorde’s proprietary PolyGuard™ Microporous Polyethylene Separator shields the positive plates against shorting, shock or vibration.

These are great batteries! We have been using them for years in our Airbus AS350 helicopters (we have the tail boom battery modification). They typically last for about 2-3 years on aircraft that fly about 1000 hours per year.

Q: Does the RG-390E battery come with the STC required to install it in an Emb Phenom 100 EMB 500 or does the STC need to be purchased separately?

Concord owns the STC for this battery to be used on this airframe, so you would just request the STC from Concorde directly when you get the battery. Concorde has a request form.
