Best bang for the buck.
I was skeptical that these would be any good, given the price and spars reviews on the internet at the time. I was pleasantly surprised as the ANR works well and the sound quality is pretty good too. These arent nearly as nice as higher end Zulu or Bose products, but for a cheap headset they are one of the best Ive tried.
Works as advertised. Good volume control, good noise cancellation, works just fine with the ANC turned off, light weight and very comfortable. Problems others mentioned - not hearing yourself, etc., is not true. They probably need to check their aircrafts audio system. Of my four headsets, this is my favorite.
A good unit overall, recommended: + light + rigid, good wires & connectors + ANR works + more comfortable than a typical rental headset unit + the unit works ok with ANR off + a bag included (a basic one but ok) + sound quality is ok ------------------------------ - no user manual. There is a flashing green led at the ANR unit, does it mean anything? - you dont hear your own talking (not sure if that is a negative side, just different from a typical rental headset unit)
GREAT UNIT, VERY PLEASED
I bought two of these. The ANR works good but the sound quality was poor. I could barely hear the audio when plugged directly into the com radio eliminating any intercom or other devices. I tried the volume control and after about 10 minutes into my flight I ended up tossing it in the back seat and put on my usual headset. I returned them both the next day.
This headset weighs approx 1.25 lbs by itself.
