BOLT-TYPE TERMINAL

April 26, 2022

The wire hole is too small to take 1/4 bowden cable inner wire. Needs to be .079 at least. AS&S should also provide alternative using a AN4 bolt to fill larger holes in a mounting. Cannot drill out the AN3.... insufficient metal remaining and AN3 is sloppy in a 1/4 mounting hole. How about it boys??

Q: How is this Bolt Type Terminal used? Also, what are the dimensions?

It is used to connect a solid wire to an actuator arm, similar to a throttle arm on a carburator. The bolt is a special drilled AN3-4, which is 3/16" diameter, and 17/32" long. You would slide the bolt through the arm hole, slide the solid wire through the drilled hole in the bolt, and tighten the nut supplied to secure the solid wire at that location on the arm.

Q: What thread is on the bolt? I need to find a lock nut that fits this bolt.

It has 10-32 threads.

Q: What wire diameter is this for? What hold strength do they have before wire will slip?

The hole is .075", it should work with all of our solid wire end controls.
