This door latch was originally designed for a gull wing door with linkage rods extending both forward and aft, however it can be adapted to virtually any style door with appropriately designed linkage rods. The linkage rods are not included.

PIPER CABIN DOOR AND OVERHEAD TRIM REPLACEMENT HANDLES

Piper no longer produces the trim handle, and an estimated 10% of 31,000 Pipers on the registry which utilize their handles. The OEM handles is a very weak link in the entire door assembly. Everything downstream of the handle is pretty secure. Therefore, they have improved the handle and have the requisite FAA STC and PMA for the production of them.
